Shakira Celebrates New Album Release in Sequined Balmain LBD and Amina Muaddi Ankle Boots

Shakira is finally back! On Thursday, the all-time best-selling Colombian artist dazzled in a glittering LBD as she celebrated the release of her new album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran—her first in seven years, following the release of El Dorado in 2017.

Dubbed Shakira’s revenge album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, which translates to Women No Longer Cry, is inspired by a challenging phase in the singer’s life, including her highly publicized breakup with Gerard Pique after 11 years together.

Shakira threw a star-studded release party at the Seminole Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, to celebrate the release of her comeback album. And I must say, amidst all the celebrities at the event, Shakira effortlessly stood out in her little black dress.

The Dazzling Little Black Dress

The 47-year-old Grammy winner emphasized her toned figure in a stunning strapless LBD from Balmain, known for its elegantly feminine and bold designs.

Shakira’s LBD isn’t just any LBD, though. Sparkling silver sequins, beads, and crystals fashioned into paisley swirls, and a large star adorn the center front of the tiny dress, allowing Shakira to shine from all angles.

I love how these embellishments pop against the black plush velvet backdrop; they shimmer like the night sky, making Shakira appear like a stunning star. You can find this mini dress at Farfetch, retailing for $6,600.

Accentuating Elegance With Jewelry

I think Shakira already looks fantastic, even without any extra jewelry. Still, the maximalist singer chose to enhance further her glittering appearance with a selection of silver and white gold jewelry from Tiffany & Co.

She wore the $18,000 Large Link Earrings in 18k white gold set with round brilliant diamonds totaling 1.18 carats. The signature gauge links characterize these celebrity-favorite earrings, spotted on stars like Gal Gadot, Charlize Theron, and Maddie Ziegler.

Shakira also donned the $2,500 sterling silver Elsa Peretti Large Bone Cuff with an ergonomic shape blending seamlessly with the wrist. A few diamond rings rounded out her luxurious jewelry.

A Casual Edge With Bold Footwear

Adding a casual edge to the glamorous dress, Shakira paired it with the black leather Amina Muaddi “Yigit” ankle boots. These Italian-crafted boots sit on 2-inch pointy platforms and 6-inch slim stiletto heels.

Though Shakira’s choice of footwear wasn’t surprising given her edgy and daringly seductive sense of style, I would have appreciated it more if she had worn silver or black pumps or heels for a dressier look.

Beauty-wise, the Latina beauty highlighted her natural beauty with minimal makeup. She accentuated her brown eyes with neutral smoky eyeshadow, mascara, and eyeliner and finished her glam with a swipe of pink lipstick and blush.

Meanwhile, her long, blonde tresses were styled in waves flowing over her shoulders.
